According to Chris Heisenberg, Colorado College has picked up a commitment from David Civitarese of the Okotoks Oilers for the 2008 season. Civitarese is an '89 birthdate who is currently in his first full season in the AJHL. He played 5 games for the Oilers last season without registering a point. This season, he has 10 goals and 9 assists in 32 games.
While his statistics aren't eye-popping, Civitarese has impressed coaches and scouts with his play. He is considered one of the best '89 birthdates in the AJHL, and is rated as a "B" prospect for this year's NHL draft by NHL Central Scouting.
