New Commitments

Recruiting Guru Chris Heisenberg has some new commitments listed on his site.

Academy of Holy Angels defenseman Bryan Brutlag committed to RPI. Brutlag is the 25th player from Holy Angels to commit to a college since coach Greg Trebil took over 9 years ago.

Denver added one of the top scorers from the BCHL in Tyler Bozak from Victoria. Bozak is the league's second highest scorer with 46 points in 18 games. Bozak is an '86 birthdate.

Western Michigan added another player to their 2007 recruiting class. Max Campbell of Strathroy of the Western Ontario Hockey League. Campbell isn't playing in a particularly strong league, but is scoring at a torrid pace. He's got 43 points in 15 games. He is on pace to break some long-standing records, and in the process, would erase some very familiar names to college hockey fans. He has a chance to break the Strathroy assists record set by former Michigan forward Mark Ouimet. He also has the chance to break the all-time Western Junior B scoring record set by former Michigan Hobey finalist, and possibly my all-time favorite player, Brian Wiseman. He's also going after a powerplay goal record that was set by former college star and Anaheim forward Andy McDonald.
