There's fairly reliable internet rumors out there that Elk River(MN) defenseman Brandon Martell has committed to Minnesota.
Martell will likely play in the USHL next year and join the Gophers in 2008, unless Minnesota suffers some early departures next offseason.

Early departures? Do you really think that Goligoski and Johnson will be around next year. Of course UMTC will have early departures along with Vanelli leaving the d corp. It only makes sense that Lucia recruits D men.
Heisenberg has it up on his 2007 recruits page now, so I don't think you can get any more reliable without it being an official press release.
