After one weekend of conference play, things aren't looking any clearer than they were before this weekend. There were two series each in the CCHA and WCHA this past weekend, and all four series ended with a split, meaning there is a four way tie atop both the CCHA and WCHA)or four way tie for last place if, like me, you look at points lost).
I think that goes to show how close things are going to be in each conference this season. Even projected last place Western Michigan beat projected first place Michigan State on Saturday night. It's going to be an exciting season, because anything could happen.

My weird stat beats your weird stat.
Bowling Green allowed 3 goals, in the first 3 minutes of the game, on 4 shots, against Alabama-Huntsville.
They offically get the record for worst/slowest start ever.
When U of M played UAH, UAH allowed 3 goals in the first 8 minutes off of 3 shots. The 4th shot was off the post.
U of M also took a 3 goal lead in under 6 minutes against Uconn. Neither of them are quite as bad, but still close.
