St. Cloud State and Nebraska-Omaha both added a 1987-born defenseman to their 2007 recruiting class.
St. Cloud got a commitment from Sioux Falls defenseman Sam Zabkowicz. Zabkowicz is a Wisconsin native that spent last year in Texas, playing for the Dallas Stars AAA program and the Texarkana Bandits. Prior to that, he played for University School in Milwaukee. Last July, Sioux Falls coach Kevin Hartzell said Zabkowicz was "a potential star."
Nebraska-Omaha got a commitment from Indiana defenseman Michael Phillippi. Phillippi is originally from Minnesota and played for the Hill-Murray program. He played for Indiana last season, and had 4 goals and 12 assists in 53 games.

Actually Sam Zabkowicz played for Culver Academy prior to the bandits and Dallas AAA
Yes, he went to Culver as a junior, and played for University School his first two years of high school.
