Chucko Leaves Minnesota

The Minnesota Golden Gophers took another blow to their depth for next season when forward Kris Chucko signed with the Calgary Flames.

Chucko was a first round draft pick of the Flames two seasons ago, but hasn't had much success at the collegiate level. He finished his college career with just 14 total goals in two seasons. From the sounds of the article, Chucko was determined to leave the Gophers regardless of the offer he received.

Good luck to you Chucko. Take the money and run. I don't blame him one bit.

One more note Donny apparently wasn't too happy with the Flames for trying to sign the kid during the season. I don't have any respect for the calgary either after hearing that. Leave the kids alone until their season is over.

No big loss with Chucko leaving. I was expecting big production out of him but he was more of a grinder. He could hit pretty good though.
