I've been a little behind on recruiting updates and there's been some news happening.
Two players from the 2007 recruiting board are now committed.
Carter Camper has committed to Miami of Ohio. He's a bit of a controversial prospect. As a 14 year old, he was considered one of the top prospects in the entire United States. Since then, he hasn't developed like some scouts had hoped he would and his stock has dropped. But after watching him play this summer and reading some other reports, I think he's still going to be a solid player for the RedHawks.
AJ Sturges committed to Michigan State, where his brother Dan is a walk-on. Sturges is a bit of a project, but in two years, he could turn into a good player.
Minnesota-Duluth has been very busy lately. They got two more commitments in the past few days. Trent Palm, of the few remaining available players on the U18 team committed there as well as Sioux Falls for Drew Akins.
Northern Michigan picked up another player from the BCHL in goalie Brian Stewart and Anchorage got a commitment from Kane Lafranchise. That's gotta be the coolest hockey name ever.

Wow, I thought Bear Trapp was excellent, but Lafranchise is awesome too. He better develop into a damn good player though.
