Minnesota high school hockey has started, and the season got off to a flying start when Hill-Murray defeated rival White Bear Lake 1-0 by way of a late goal by Minnesota recruit Mike Hoeffel on Tuesday in the first of Fox Sports North's weekly high school showcase games. I'd tell you more about the game, but I was too busy watching Kyle Peto do his best impersonation of a Michigan State placekicker.
Here's the Duluth News Tribune's
Iron Range Preview. They mention a lot of recruiting board prospects like Ben Leis, Reid Ellingson, Pat White, Jake Johnson and Nico Sachetti.
The Star-Tribune previewed the metropolitan Twin-Cities area with their Players to Watch(Registration required) Three future Gophers, two future Bulldogs, a future MSU,M Maverick, and a future Princeton Tiger, along with other future college hockey players are listed.
