Team Canada announced their lineup for the World Junior Team today, and four NCAA players, including two from the West were selected to the team. The roster included college players Jonathan Toews from North Dakota, Andrew Cogliano from Michigan, Dan Bertram from Boston College, and Sasha Pokulok from Cornell. Minnesota's Kris Chucko was the only college player to attend the camp and not make it.
Four college players being selected to Team Canada is a pretty rare occurrence and is even more surprising given that College hockey hating Brent Sutter is Team Canada's coach. But according to TSN's Bob McKenzie, Cogliano and Toews were two of the team's best forwards.
