Garrett Roe, a 5'8" forward for the Indiana Ice of the USHL, called St. Cloud coach Bob Motzko to tell him that he was committing to St. Cloud next season, according to the St. Cloud Times.
Roe was considered a top level recruit a few years ago when he was at Shattuck-St. Mary's two seasons ago, but interest in him had cooled somewhat. Roe had visited Colorado College, as well as St. Cloud before deciding on St. Cloud.
Roe becomes the third Husky commit from the Indiana Ice this season. Part of the reason is because former Husky Fred Knipscheer is working for the ice. Knipscheer has also directed four of his players to former teammate Doc DelCastillo and Nebraska-Omaha.
