So insidecollegehockey.com has this article up on Nick Petrecki , who would be one of the top defenseman in the class of 2007 if he played college hockey. I had left him off the recruiting board after he was drafted in the first round of the OHL draft by Plymouth, but he made the decision to play in the USHL next year, opening up the possibility of him ending up at college.
The article doesn’t provide anything too in-depth, other than that Petrecki likes to drink a gallon of water before every game(1. A gallon? Jesus Christ 2. This is a family blog so I won’t make a joke about him being able to resurface the ice between periods)
If I had to take a guess, I’d guess that Petrecki ends up attending the University of Michigan………….while playing hockey for the Plymouth Whalers. Petrecki says he’s not giving up on college, but I think he’s just keeping his options open to aid in contract negotiations with the Whalers, as a number of other players have done recently.

Sounds like Petrecki, according to inside sources, has decided to attend Boston College. There is still some question whether he'll go to BC or play for Plymouth, but he's told the coaches he's going the college route at BC. Only time will tell if he ends up there, though.
Big get for the Eagles. Jerry York puts the York in New York. Tough break for Jackie Parker (again!)
