Facebook Shenanigans

If you're a college student, you probably already know what Facebook is. If you're out of the loop, allow me to fill you in. www.thefacebook.com is an online directory of college students at schools across the country that tries to connect people through social networks. Basically, anyone with a college email address can go on and create a profile containing a picture as well as personal information and contact information. From that profile a person can link to their friends' profiles and so on. It's like your own personal 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon.

Anyway, with the energy and intensity some of us put into following college hockey, we often forget that these kids are also normal college students. Many guys even have their own Facebook profiles. So just for fun, I thought I'd highlight some of the funnier profile pictures that players have chosen.

Adrian Veideman, Denver University

I'm pretty sure he's the one in the middle.

Jeff Likens, Wisconsin

I'm really not sure which one is Jeff

Stavros Paskaris, Wayne State

Stavros Paskaris: Party Animal

Gino Guyer, Minnesota

A friend of mine actually thought this guy was cute

Brandon Scero, Nebraska-Omaha

A little somethin' for the ladies

Brian Salcido, Colorado College

This is my favorite profile picture of any I've seen

T.J. McElroy, St. Cloud State

The funniest part about this picture is that someone took the effort to Photoshop that together

Matt Hunwick, Michigan

This is actually how I picture Matt Hunwick

Matt Greene, North Dakota

He's sick of The Man always sending him to the penalty box

Kellen Briggs, Minnesota

It's my arch-nemesis, MaroonandGoldmember

Bobby Selden, Northern Michigan

I won't even try to make a funny comment, because I don't want him to see this and then kick my ass

Jacob MicFlikier, New Hampshire

I'm sure there's a great story behind this pic that I just don't want to know about

Bryan Lerg, Michigan State

Bryan has adjusted to life at MSU quite nicely.

Very funny, but I think Wisconsin's Kyle Klubertanz deserves a shout-out.
