When they do go college, they tend to spread around a lot. CC and SCSU each have a few, but besides them, I can't think of anybody who's got more than two.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12302090.post-33472606410634462672008-08-23T08:16:00.000-05:002008-08-23T08:16:00.000-05:00I have seen many 93's play 92s that were at the 92...I have seen many 93's play 92s that were at the 92's camp. In fact...I'm by no means a Canadian hockey slappy. In fact I would take the USA's best 92's in a game against the 92's in Canada any day of the week. But this group of 93 USA players is really really really thin. The top players in the province of Ontario alone would kick the crap out of the best players from the entire USA and that game wouldn't feature an absolutely loaded group of Canadians from Western Canada. Its easy to see why colleges would make very early commitments to players in this class because if you dont get the good ones early the pickings are really slim.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12302090.post-69683012769601341742008-08-20T20:27:00.000-05:002008-08-20T20:27:00.000-05:00Nice to see the positive comments re: Julian Cioc...Nice to see the positive comments re: <B>Julian Ciocco</B>. While it would be better for all involved to wait until 17-18, recruiting is a highly competitve business not even getting into the major junior part of things. If you don't go after these kids young, there is a high probability you won't even be in the mix later.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12302090.post-84377222786961094242008-08-19T20:11:00.000-05:002008-08-19T20:11:00.000-05:00Rocco Grimaldi another California transplant!!!Rocco Grimaldi another California transplant!!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12302090.post-85833027320993225772008-08-19T17:20:00.000-05:002008-08-19T17:20:00.000-05:00Heard Wisc. jumped at Schmaltz because they heard ...Heard Wisc. jumped at Schmaltz because they heard North Dakota had interest. Schmaltz is entering his freshman year in high school, and has been commuting from Wisconsin to play for the Mission for the past three seasons.<BR/><BR/>"Jordy is not only an extraordinary player, but also an outstanding young man from a wonderful family," said his coach of the past two season Mike McPartlin. "On the ice you immediately notice what a smooth, strong skater he is, but it's his hockey IQ and his phenomenal passing skills that ultimately set him apart. And although he's definitely gifted athletically, there's a lot more to him than just that. Jordy also has that burning passion to compete and be the best. All these qualities make him one of those rare players who makes the players around him better."Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12302090.post-70880805034013525922008-08-19T15:40:00.000-05:002008-08-19T15:40:00.000-05:00To have Boyd ranked number 3, is a little off. Good skill, but struggles with skating.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
